Open Frame Solenoids

Open frame magnets are linear solenoids. When the coil is energized, the armature plunger performs a linear stroke movement.
The starting position can be defined by the installation, while the end position of the stroke is usually determined by the magnet. The maximum possible stroke depends on the magnet size and the shape of the armature and is specified in the tables.
The return of the armature plunger from the end position to the starting position is achieved by an externally acting (spring) force. Special versions with an integrated return spring are available.
