Glove Compartment Releases
The electric opening of glove compartments in vehicles offers a variety of advantages. For example, access control can be clearly defined through key coding: the glove compartment opens for the holder of one specific key, while remaining locked and inaccessible to others, protecting any sensitive contents.
With the use of keyless entry or keyless go systems, traditional car keys are no longer used, which would otherwise require a separate key for the glove compartment.
Since no handle is needed on the compartment lid for opening, this feature allows for a completely free and customizable interior design.
High-Dynamic Actuators
High-dynamic actuators are used, for example, in contact welding of fastening elements to sheet metal and other metal parts, such as in automotive body construction or furniture manufacturing. In this process, the fastening element is moved toward the base part in such a way that an ignition spark is first generated, followed by the actual welding current.
The distance and current between the two parts to be welded are continuously adjusted to ensure that the metal surfaces of both components begin to melt. In a final step, the fastening element is positioned within the molten pool. The current is then switched off, the melt solidifies, and the weld is complete.
Thanks to precise control and monitoring of both welding current and positioning, it is always ensured that these welds are created with extremely high process reliability and consistently meet all quality requirements 100%.
Ignition Key Withdrawal Locks
Traditional ignition keys are still considered state-of-the-art, especially in sports cars. Even though these keys often no longer operate any mechanical locks and instead communicate wirelessly with the vehicle via transponder technology, they still need to be inserted into a designated slot and, in some cases, even turned to start the vehicle.
indEAS develops and produces a variety of compact actuators that secure such "ignition keys" in their corresponding "ignition locks" and only release them once the vehicle has been safely shut down.
